Zombies vs. Unicorns - Holly Black, Justine Larbalestier, Garth Nix, Naomi Novik Actually more like 2.5.All in all very disappointing. Now the stories by themselves.1. The Highest Justice by Garth Nix (Unicorn) 2/5- Felt as if the authour didn't had all his heart in it. It was kind of stupid.2. Love will tear us apart by Alaya Dawn Johnson (Zombie) 4/5- I liked the main couple being gay and the idea of stopping the virus half way through spreading. Disliked the Thelma&Louise-running away-theme.3. Purity Test by Naomi Novik (Unicorn) 5/5- Very funny. Loved the disgruntled unicorn and it being too annoyed to find a proper virgin and taking the first drunk girl that came its way instead. Best unicorn story in the book.4. Bougainvillea by Carrie Ryan (Zombie) 4/5- Very entertaining. Liked the pirate theme and the "action sequence". Best zombie story in the book.5. A Thousand Flowers by Margo Lanagan (Unicorn) abandoned- Hated it. Starting with the first two pages about piss and ending with bestiality.6. The Children of the Revolution (Zombie) 3/5- Very creepy Angelina Jolie meets eternal life cult thing going on there.7. The Care and Feeding of your Baby Killer Unicorn by Diana Peterfreund (Guess!) 3/5- The only one I was looking forward to from the beginning and therefore the one that disappointed me the most. I loved the trashy yet awesome nature of Rampant and expected the same for this short story. The realization that it was just really bad wasn't pretty. Also god talk makes me lose excitement very qickly.8. Inoculata by Scott Westerfeld (Zombie) 2/5- Not entertaining and too convenient. The one rare strain of the virus in only one zombie in 6 billion right there at the right time when the girl by accident gets bitten? Really?9. Princess Prettypants by Meg Capot (Unicorn) 5/5- Actually 4/5, judging by the quality of the story but getting an extra point for the awesomest unicorn name ever! Also it's farting rainbows!10. Cold Hands by Cassandra Clare (Zombie) 1/5- Very shitty and the zombies aren't behaving like zombies at all. They're the equivalent to the vegetarian douchebag sparklepires from Twilight.11. the Third Virgin by Kathleen Duey (Unicorn) 2/5- Sucked but gets one point for making me finish it and one point for the idea of writing it from the unicorn's point of view.12. Prom Night by Libba Bray (Zombie) 1/5- Tries so hard to be current and to be pleasing the "cool and young crowd". I felt really sad for her, since she was failing so hard. The story itself was so bad. So. Bad.In conclusion I can say that the in-between parts by Holly Black and Justine Larbalestier, bickering about which team is better, were the most entertaining.Although I seemed to like the zombie stories a bit better I'm still
